2012 Is Going To Be A Damn Good Year.

I hope 2012 is off to a wonderful start for everyone! I am very, very excited about the prospects of the coming year. I will be touring Europe this summer and I am truly excited to visit so many wonderful parts of my ancestral homeland and perform over there! With the success we have had with our initial efforts, in Europe, I have been inspired to follow up and promote even more to radio and media in Europe.

At some point, upon return, I will be moving to Nashville, TN to further grow as a songwriter and pursue a publishing deal. I will be returning to Texas often to perform, and I promise, I will still be performing the same style of music I perform now. I am just excited and eager to grow as a songwriter. I am very, very proud to call Austin, TX home now, and it is the very first city I have ever felt is my home. It always will be.

2011 was quite an incredible year for the band and I! I was proud to release an album of the 11 favorite songs I have ever recorded, and the reception has been great! It has been really cool to branch out of our home, in Texas, and reach some new audiences!

Currently, I am working, with April Orr, do develop a tour of Europe for the summer of 2012! The brainstorm is awesome and the dates are coming in.

I am so very thankful for all of our friends, fans, family that have helped us along the way. 2011 presented a lot of challenges, but I’m proud to come out a better songwriter/musician for it. I am so very thankful for everything.

Stop by every few days, I will be putting up the albums for free mp3 download soon!

Thank you so much to everybody that has been coming out to the CD Release Parties! The main event, in Austin, at Threadgill’s was awesome! We were very happy about how packed the event was and can’t thank y’all enough.

I am currently booking Fall and Winter and making plans to go, perform in Europe, next summer!

Masters!!!

I just got the masters for the new album, and I am very, very excited about this creation! The album will hit stores, physically and electronically on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. I am so proud of the work that the band and I did, and so grateful for the amazing help we had from producer, Walt Wilkins and engineer, Ron Flynt. Working with them was absolutely amazing. Thank you all so much for making it possible.

GRATEFUL…

Today is the final day of tracking, and I am absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude. I am so thankful to the fans, the good friends and the family that made this upcoming record possible. We have been in the studio for the last two weeks, and, for the first time, I really feel like my vision is not only coming to realization, but through amazing players and Walt Wilkins’ and Ron Flynt’s insight, the vision is exceeded.

This is the first album where I have used my band members, and we have kept the record very organic. We also feature a handful of Austin’s finest guest musicians. Brendan Anthony plays beautiful strings, and Kim Deschamps brought his amazing pedal steel talent.

It is truly touching to hear Walt and Tina Wilkins sing harmonies on the songs that I’ve written. It is very, very cool to hear them sing on a song that Tiffini and I wrote together.

More than anything, I am thankful for the incredible talent of my band. My drummer, Jim Adair, was in the “woodshed” daily for the month before beginning our work. Jim, and bass player, Vance Hazen worked together, with the metronome daily and their foundation on this album is ROCK SOLID.

The melodic guitar work of my guitar player, Chris Reeves, truly makes the record. From shit-kicking, honky-tonk Telecaster, to spacy, beautiful spring day acoustic, his work has been amazing.

I am truly grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people. Now with the help of my beautiful publicist, Tiffini Brock, we are going to have a great record to talk about.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without y’all.
